Eid al-Adha 2024 in the United Kingdom

Muslims in Pakistan and around the world are preparing for Eid al-Adha, also known as the “Festival of the Sacrifice.” This year, Eid al-Adha is expected to fall on the evening of Sunday, June 16th, 2 tradisi (depending on the sighting of the moon).

Eid al-Adha commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. The holiday is marked by the slaughter of animals, with the meat being shared with family, friends, and those less fortunate.

While the exact date of Eid al-Adha won’t be confirmed until the sighting of the moon, preparations are already underway. Many people are beginning to purchase sacrificial animals, such as sheep or goats.

This is a time for المسلمين (Muslims) to come together in celebration and reflect on the importance of sacrifice and devotion.
