The Punjab government announced the much-awaited summer vacations for schools across the province today, Friday, May 17th, 2024. This decision comes in response to the rising temperatures and aims to provide relief to students during the hot summer months.
According to a notification issued by the Punjab School Education Department, all public and private schools in the province will be closed from Saturday, June 1st, 2024, to Wednesday, August 14th, 2024. Schools will reopen and resume educational activities on Thursday, August 15th, 2024.
This announcement comes after the Balochistan Education Department had already declared summer breaks for schools in their province. It’s important to note that Punjab’s initial proposal suggested vacations starting from June 7th, but due to the intensifying heat, the start date has been moved up.
With summer officially on its way, students in Punjab can now gear up for a well-deserved break!
